It does the same as a Ninja — working an already-frozen block until it turns creamy — with three tubs instead of two and an automatic rinse programme. And with an argument no Ninja puts on the table: fifteen years of repairability declared, and a network of 6,200 service centres.

How the ice cream turns out
Good and creamy according to its buyers, some comparing it to artisan ice cream. One Italian buyer says milk alone is enough to reach the creaminess others get with cream.
Ease of use
Simple, and the automatic rinse is welcome. Some consider it dispensable because the parts already come apart easily.
The noise
Divided, and sharply so. One Dutch buyer speaks of “extreme noise”; others say it is over in three or four minutes.
Quality and price
One tub more than the Ninja Deluxe, and cheaper. That is its best argument.

Three tubs, and that changes the rhythm

The Ninja comes with two; this one with three. In a category where every batch needs 24 hours in the freezer, that extra tub decides whether you eat ice cream tomorrow or the day after.

The "one pass only" claim needs qualifying

Moulinex sells the 1-Step Perfector technology as a creamy result first time. A French buyer contradicts it: she says you have to run it several times to be satisfied. It is worth telling it that way, with both versions.

Repairable, and nobody plays around with that

Fifteen years of repairability and 6,200 service centres. On an appliance with a motor and blades washed daily, that is the strongest argument against the Ninja.

Replacement tubs cost

One Italian buyer complains he cannot find tubs sold singly. With three as standard it bothers less than on the Ninja, but it is worth knowing.

Six spoonable and four drinkable

The six semi-solid ones are the usual: sorbet, ice cream, gelato, smoothie, frozen yoghurt and extras. The four drinkable ones — cocktail, slush, milkshake and frappé — are what set it apart from a basic Ninja, and in the reviews the slush comes off well.

It also comes with a digital recipe book of fifty ideas, with dairy-free, vegan and sugar-free versions.

Would we buy it? Yes, and for an unusual reason

It does the same job as a Ninja for considerably less money, with one tub more and with something nobody else in this category offers: fifteen years of repairability and a network of service centres. On an appliance that is motor, blade and seals, that counts.

What you lose against the Deluxe is two flavours in the same tub. If you do not need that, it is the most sensible buy in the category.
