SENYA My Little Ice
The French frozen-block machine: 700 watts, nine programmes and three tubs. It comes with Mix-In for adding pieces at the end and Re-Spin for churning again whatever stayed hard.
Nine programmes and three tubs, without paying for the brand
It works like a CREAMi: the base is frozen for 24 hours and the blade shaves it until it turns creamy. It offers nine programmes against the entry Ninja's seven, three tubs instead of two, and adds an automatic cleaning cycle.
Our score. It still has few reviews on Amazon, so its own rating does not say much.
Creamy, on the same principle as the Ninja. With its 700 W it breaks the block without complaining.
A display with the nine programmes and a cleaning cycle that is welcome.
473 ml per tub, and it comes with three.
Mix-In, Re-Spin and automatic cleaning, with three tubs as standard.
Four things you notice
in use, not on the box
How the ice cream comes out
Creamy from the first pass. If it comes out floury, Re-Spin fixes it by churning again.
How long it really takes
The churning takes minutes. What rules is the 24 hours of freezing beforehand, which are not skipped here either.
Day to day
Nothing that touches the ice cream contains BPA and the blade is stainless steel. The cleaning cycle saves you the worst part.
Footprint
26 × 18.8 × 40.5 cm: narrow but tall, like all the machines with this system.
Add pieces and churn again
The two functions that save a batch. Mix-In opens a hollow in the middle so you can add the biscuit or the chocolate without breaking it up, and Re-Spin churns again whatever came out hard or sandy, which with a frozen block happens as soon as the formula is short on sugar.

SENYA My Little Ice specifications
The SENYA My Little Ice against its rivals
En su franja compiten estas tres. La My Little Ice cuesta hoy —: these reviews tell you what you gain and what you lose with each one.
Ninja CREAMi
Two programmes fewer and one tub fewer, with the most well-worn recipe book.
Ninja CREAMi Deluxe
710 ml tub and two flavours at once.
Taurus Gelato Flow
The same nine programmes and three slightly bigger tubs.
Moulinex Dolci
Ten programmes and considerably more total capacity.
Would we buy it? Yes, if three tubs and a less familiar brand work for you
It offers more programmes and one tub more than the entry-level Ninja, and adds automatic cleaning. What it does not have is the recipe book or the CREAMi's track record, and on Amazon few people have tried it yet. If that does not put you off, it is a reasonable buy.
Frequently asked questions
Does the base have to be frozen first for the SENYA My Little Ice?
Yes, 24 hours. That is the system: the machine does not chill, it breaks up an already-frozen block.
What is Re-Spin?
It churns again whatever came out hard or sandy. With a frozen block you use it more than you would think.
And the Mix-In?
It opens a hollow in the middle so you can add pieces — biscuit, chocolate — without breaking them up in the mix.
Do the Ninja tubs fit?
No. Each machine has its own, with its own fitting.
Does any recipe work?
No. Frozen-block formulas call for more solids and a well-set antifreeze. In the calculator you have the version of every recipe for this system.
What would we buy instead of the SENYA My Little Ice?
The Taurus Gelato Flow, which gives the same with slightly bigger tubs, or the Ninja CREAMi if you want the most well-worn recipe book.
